More About Me
Hi Everyone,
My name is Brenda Renouf and I thoroughly enjoy organizing. It is my passion, work that doesn’t feel like work!
Here is a little story to give you an idea of how organizing has shown up in my life, how it has been a natural gift to me.
I grew up in Campbellton, NB. I lived only a minute run from my grandparents’ house, my dad’s parents. I spent a lot of time with my grandparents growing up.
They taught me invaluable lessons. My grandfather was my hero. He was the strongest, most humble, most persevering person I knew. He was blind and couldn’t walk. His every day life was living in darkness and also bound to a wheelchair. But with all those obstacles he still ran a canteen out of his house.
I knew what pride meant at a very young age. I wanted to spend time with him, to help him out in the canteen any chance I got but also to just witness such strength of character. I am very grateful he passed some of that to me.
Every Saturday morning I would go to my grandparents house to do dusting for my grandmother. I just loved and adored the older furniture, how they took the extra time back then to carve designs and patterns that were so elegant. I took care of my grandmother’s things as though they were my own.
Visitors would come and go at my grandparents, family members, sons, daughters, lots of grandkids.
My grandmother shared a story with me one day when I was old enough to understand and remember.
She told me I was only about 6 years old. As people would arrive at the house they would take their shoes off but leave them everywhere.
She said she was so surprised when I got down there on the floor and organized all the shoes neatly in a row. I guess I was always and naturally, an Organizer. True Story!
Now fast forward a few years, lol, just a few!
